Charles Edd Risinger, 81, of Silsbee passed away Saturday January 18, 2020. He was born March 16, 1938 in Tenaha Texas to the late Clarence Risinger and Elizabeth McDaniels Risinger.
Charles worked and retired as a maintenance technician for the Texas Highway Department. He was married to the love of his life Ida Risinger for nearly 50 proud years and they created a beautiful life and family together. Charles loved to fish and hunt. He also had a passion for tinkering with mechanics. You name it, he could work on it. From cars right on down to weed eaters, Charles’ family have plenty of stories to share about his many projects. He had a competitive spirit especially when it came to fishing. You better not out fish him, or you might find yourself left at the fishing hole! Charles will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 49 and a half years, Ida Risinger of Silsbee; sons, David Risinger of Silsbee, Johnny Edward Risinger and wife Misty of Fred; daughters, Charlotte Finch and husband Dean of Silsbee, Lucinda Welch and husband Jason of Fred; grandchildren, Darion, Stephen, Johnathon, Robert, Jacob, Austin, Elizabeth, Emily; great-grandchildren, Laura and Deacon; and numerous other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debra Potts; grandson, Danny Wilson; granddaughter, Melody Risinger; brothers, Nobel and Billy Risinger; and three sisters, Faye Cain, Letha Cain, and Bernice Gage.
Funeral Service will be held at 10AM Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in the Farmer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends and relatives for a visitation on Monday evening January 20, 2020 from 5-8PM. Burial will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee.
Services are held under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.
