Edna Ruth (Hazelton) Winn

Edna Ruth Winn, of Evadale, passed away on October 29, 2019, at the age of 85. The visitation will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, located at Farmer Funeral Home. The service will be Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM, located at Farmer Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Antioch Cemetery in Buna, Texas.

Edna was born to John Steve Hazelton and Grace Mae (Morgan) Hazelton, in Oakdale, LA, on February 2, 1934. Edna grew up as a member of the Church of Christ, as her father, John Hazelton was a minister of the Church of Christ. On August 6, 1950, Edna married the love of her life, whom she met at the swimming hole, Leon Winn. They moved to Vidor, Texas in 1955. Then in 1962 made the move to Evadale, where she had become a member of Central Baptist Church. Edna and Leon had 10 wonderful children. She was always busy at home cooking, and cleaning but even with all of those responsibilities she loved being a wife, and mother. This year Edna and Leon celebrated 69 fulfilling years of marriage.  Edna could be described by many words, but above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; John Steve Hazelton and Grace Mae (Morgan) Hazelton; son, Greg Winn; daughter, Jeanette Winn and her husband Sonny Baker; daughter, Suzanne Winn; in addition to 1 sister, and 3 brothers.

Edna is survived by her husband; Leon Winn; son, Rodney and wife Carolyn Winn; their children; Tammy Lanette Galloway and husband Don, Richard Leon Winn, and Henry Paul Winn; Jeanette Winn Baker is survived by her daughters; Amanda Jannise and Crystal Martin; daughter, Linda Winn Radley; her children; Kevin Eugene Duff, Kenny Edward Duff and Steven Joseph Radley; Son, Mike and wife Maria Winn, their children; Rachael Howell, John Winn, Kathryn Chischilly and Michael Lopez; son, Terry and wife Raemma Winn, their children; Lacy Leanne Winn, Terry Garrett Winn and friend Chelsea Jones, Kandice Deanne Winn, Erikha Jean Barnett, Kyle Brannom Card and friend Melinda Martinez, Preston Keith Card and Michael Chase Spencer; daughter, Debra and husband David Fraser, their children; David Allen Fraser and Friend Taylor Cole, Colby Scott and wife Michelle Fraser; son, Richard and wife Kimberly Winn, their children; Samantha Lauve, Kelli and husband Thomas Rutledge, Tyler Winn, Karley and husband Austin Phillips, Kourtney and husband Drew Ryan and Hailey-Lou Vaske; daughter, Sandra and husband David Masters, their children; Paige Nicole and husband Ronnie West, Ryan Jacob Masters and Remington David Masters; Edna is also loved by 33 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Winn leaves behind a legacy of love. Although Edna will be greatly missed, family and friends will always remember her with the fondest of memories.
