Marilyn Slankard, 89, of Silsbee passed away Friday, December 6, 2019. She was born In Red Banks Mississippi on May 15, 1930 to the late Marvin and Eerie Liles.
Marilyn was a beautician by trade who kept many hobbies. She was an artist who loved painting and decorating, and her family would say she had a “wicked” sense of humor. She was a joy to all around her and she absolutely loved being around children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte, Lisa and her husband Rob, and Jayme; step-son, Eli, Jr.; grandchildren, Eli, Israel, Alexandra, Laura, Jennifer, and Christine; great-grandchildren, Rayne, Vanessa,Brent, Aya, Alexia, Noah, and Brayden; and numerous other family members and friends.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Eli Watson Slankard Sr.; brothers, James, Joe, Marvin, Lanier, William, and Emmett; and sisters, Lois, Joy, Cora, and Agnes.
A graveside service will be held at Guedry Cemetery in Batson on Monday December 9, 2019 at 1:00 PM.
Services are held under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
