On the evening of Wednesday July 23, Aletha Jane Kaiser passed away at Herman Memorial Baptist Hospital in Houston, Texas of natural causes. Surrounded by family and many expressions of love she peacefully exited this world.
She was born in El Dorado, Kansas on August 19, 1949. She was the 10th child in the blended family of Howard Fenton Hull and Alice Anna Hopkins.
Aletha started her adult life with a move to Indiana County, Pennsylvania. She returned to Ark City, Kansas where she met and married her second husband, Steve Kaiser. With that union the family moved to Texas where the Railroad jobs took them.
Upon settling in Silsbee, Texas Aletha quickly became an active member in the community working as a pre-school teacher at First Baptist Church, where she attended church, and as a resource teacher aid within the Silsbee School District.
In 1984 Aletha and her family bought and ran the Wash House which remained open until June 2025. After the passing of her husband, Steve, in 2013 Aletha continued to run the Wash House where she had developed many close relationships and friendships. Her kindness and endless energy were an inspiration to many.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Steven Kent Kaiser who was the love of her life and partner in everything that mattered.
She is survived by: children: Karen Fant, Cyndie Lee and Bryan Treese; step-daughter: Stacy Hawks; grandchildren: Kade Bumstead, Lauren Felan, Kirsten Bumstead, Kailey Bumstead, Colby Hawks, Mason Hawks, Dalton Hawks, Garrett Treese, Hayden Treese, Davis Treese, Josie Hawks; great grandchildren: Zoey Jones and Logan Cadow.
