Alton Holt Obituary

Alton Eugene Holt, 85, of Lumberton passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021. He was born on December 31, 1935 in Corsicana, Texas to the late Elmer Marion Holt and Ola Mae Neville Holt.

Alton graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M of Corpus Christi. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years active duty and 2 years reserve duty, After that, he served for 32 years in the civil service; 20 years of Navy service and 32 years of Army service. He married his wife Doris on December 12, 1957, and they were married nearly 64 years. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors but mostly he loved spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and two children.

Alton is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Doris Ann Holt; his children; Dorothy Kovalchuk and husband George W., Alton Ray Holt and wife Janis, Timothy Holt and wife Kari; brother, Johnny Holt; sister, Gwen Holt Adams; grandchildren, Kelly Smith and husband James, Tiffany Harding and husband Chad, Steven McCabe and wife Fer,  Justin Holt and wife Stephanie,  Katrina McDaniel and husband Hunter, Hannah Belk and husband Kaleb, Timothy Holt Jr., Isaiah Holt; great grandchildren, Aubrey, Emily, Lani, Noah, Addeleigh, Lucy; and a host of other family members and friends.
