Annie McNeely, 73, of Warren, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026. She was born on November 7, 1952, in Vidor, to Lucien and Yvonne (Pearce) Pipps.
Annie worked as a payroll clerk for Spindletop MHMR for many years before retiring to devote her time and love to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A proud member of the Choctaw-Apache Tribe of Ebarb, Annie had a deep love for nature and could often be found planting wild petunias in her garden.
When she was not caring for her family or capturing the beauty of the outdoors through her camera lens, Annie was known for making one of the best pots of gumbo this side of the state line. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed watching movies and was especially fond of To Kill a Mockingbird. Annie embraced life with enthusiasm and expressed that joy through her love of dancing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, James Donald McCoy; and her brother, Ronald Pipps.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 38 years, Dan McNeely; her children, Melissa McCoy Mallard, Leslie Eugene McCoy, and Hannah Nicole Garcia; her grandchildren, Zachary McCoy, Caleb Gibson, Seth Gibson, Veloria Poland, and Steel McCoy; her great-grandchildren, Hank, Hartley, Haddie, Henley, Hayes, Kinlee, Kamyron, and Cooper; and her siblings, Elisha “Lisa” Pipps, Leslie “Neicy” Sims, Michael Pipps, Tisha Kiser, and LJ Pipps.
