Obituary

Antonio “Tony” Moreno, 80, of Spurger passed away Monday, May 8, 2023. He was born on November 19, 1942 in Ecleto, Texas to the late Ignacio and Olivia Moreno.

Tony was a member of the Good Samaritan Fellowship Church in Fred. He enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing and gardening. Tony was a loving husband, father, “Poppo” and brother. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Joseph and Paul Moreno; siblings, Frank Moreno, Ignacio Moreno Jr., Sammy Moreno, Mary DeLeon, Alfredo Moreno, and Tomasa Rangel.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Moreno; children, Doris Veliz and husband Joe, Alfredo Moreno, Mecedes Moreno; grandchildren, Nettie, Jeremiah, Veronica, A.J., Melissa, Matthew, Adrian, Loren, Faith, Jacqui, Paul, Samantha, Santiago, Dezi, Jay; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Cecilio Moreno, Sophia Delgadillo; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Cremation services were held under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.
