Arthur Leon Spangler

Arthur Leon Spangler, 77, of Woodville passed away Monday, November 22, 2021. He was born on August 28, 1944 in Jasper, Texas.

Arthur was a veteran of the United States Army and served for five and a half years. He married his wife Mary on June 7, 1968 and they had three children together. Arthur enjoyed reading western novels and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, PawPaw, Pop, and friend. He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Cora Taylor.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Spangler; his children, Stephen Leon Spangler and wife Cheryl, Julie Denine Louvier, Derek Wayne Spangler and wife Tina; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous other family members, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday, November 26, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10-11AM
