Barbara Scharber

Barbara Ann Strother Scharber, 88, of Silsbee, passed from this life Sunday, March 01, 2026. She was born on Wednesday, July 15, 1937, to Wade Marshall “Wade M” Strother and Thelma (Yielding) Strother.

Barbara was a member at SETX Church in Beaumont, Texas. Also, she was a member of Eastern Star in Silsbee and in Hawaii. She loved to cook, sew, and substitute teacher in Silsbee and really enjoyed working crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her daughter Pamela Scharber Sharp and her husband Steve, and son Paul Scharber; grandchildren, Sheena Freeman and her husband Raymond, Douglas Konstantine, Brandi Verdine, Wade Scharber, Jessica Pilgreen and her husband Dave, Robert Scharber and his wife Rene, and James Scharber; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Jasper, Kasey Jasper, Karson Liles, Madison Konstantine , Marshall Konstantine, Dalton Konstantine, Adien Konstantine, Jason Konstantine and many friends and loved ones.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leroy Scharber; son, Phillip Scharber; brothers, Marshall Strother, Alvin Strother, Robert Strother; sister, Dr. Billie Fern Strother.

On March 17, 2026, a memorial service will be held at SETX Church 8060 Eastex Freeway Beaumont, Texas 77708
