Belenda Faye (Hobbs) Berry

Belenda Faye Berry, 84, of Silsbee, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at her residence. She was born on Monday, November 11, 1940, in Jasper, to Herbert Otto and Elma Louise (Parsley) Hobbs.

Belenda was a member of Central Baptist Church in Evadale. She enjoyed quilting, movies, Christmas Décor, reading, canning, and playing softball. She will be especially remembered for her Christmas Eve parties, Easter family gatherings, family reunions, and her exceptional cooking and catering to the community.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Newell and her husband, Mike, Jean Moncrief and her husband, Wilburn, Jane Hayes and her husband, James, and Amanda Johnson and her husband, Jeremy; sons, James Berry Jr. and Terry Berry and his wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Kiesha Spurlock, Aprile Thomas and her husband, Marc, Lynn Robertson and her husband, Christopher, Andrew Moncrief, Joshua Berry and his wife, Hannah, Alex Hayes and his wife, Shelby, Whitney Zare and her husband, Ehson, Averie and Emma Hayes, and Brittany and Blade Beard; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends; she will be especially missed by her (babies) feline companies.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alvin, and Emma Parsley; her parents; her husband, James D. Berry Sr.; sister, Jane Fikes; brother Buddy Hobbs; and her son-in-law, Alvin Spurlock.

Mrs. Berry’s cremation arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.
