Bennie Dean Magee

Bennie Dean Magee, 66, passed away in the early morning hours on Sunday March 24, 2024 at Houston Methodist Hospital with his loving wife by his side.  Bennie was born in Beaumont, TX on July 31, 1957.  He was the son of F. Ernest Magee Sr and Bennie Rae Magee.  He was a former welder and welding inspector, then later in his life he became a truck driver, a job he truly loved.  Bennie was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and cowboy.   He loved spending time with his friends and family.  Bennie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and was looking forward to being a great grandfather in August 2024.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law James Overbey, and stepfather James Faggard.  Bennie is survived by his wife Judy Smith Magee;  sons, Christopher "Coo" Magee, Kris Summers and his wife Shannon Scott, Taylor Dyer and his fiance Lain Eason, and Chris Dyer; daughters Melanie Richard,  Chloe Bertrand and husband Lindsey Sue Bertrand; Seven Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, F. Ernest Magee Jr and his wife Patsy , Joyce Overbey Wood and husband Garrie, Talmadge "T-Bone" Magee and his wife Kathy.
