Betty Jo Basco

Betty Jo Basco, 81, of Evadale passed away Monday February 3, 2025, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. She was born November 5, 1943, in Evadale to the Late Pat and Lucille Burrell.

Betty enjoyed spending her time doing yard work, dancing, hunting, fishing, cooking, and attending every event her grandchildren were involved in. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Lucille; her husband of 61 years, John F. Basco; and daughter, Tammie Rene Basco.

Betty is survived by her children, Shelly Totten and husband Mike, John M. “Mike” Basco and fiancé Eva Salazar; Grandchildren, Matthew Totten and wife Jayden, Jordan Totten, Magen Guidry and husband Brent, Kaitlynn Basco and fiancé Alex Heintze; great grandchildren, Brennan Guidry, Grant Guidry, Karli Guidry, Maddi Guidry, Blakely Totten; siblings, Rob Burrell, Barbara Burrell Payton, Bea Burrell Chapman, Bill Burrell, Connie Burrell Williams; and a host of other family members and friends.
