Bill “Captain” Jenkins, 75, of Wildwood, died Friday, February 27, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Beaumont, on Thursday, January 25, 1951, to William Howard Sr. and Juanita (Forsythe) Jenkins.
Bill was a machinist and retired from Exxon/Mobil after over 39 years of service. He was instrumental in helping develop the United Way campaign program at the refinery, and will be remembered by many. When Bill wasn’t working, he enjoyed sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys, as well as fishing, and will be remembered for his excellent cooking.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Pat Jenkins; son, Trey Jenkins; sisters, Janet Jenkins Harris and her husband, Todd, Betty Lou Jenkins, Marsha Kay Moses and her husband, Stephen; stepsisters Mary Lynn Wilson, and Jill Wheat Livesay and her husband, Joey; and his stepmother, Ethelyn Jenkins. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews and a host of loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
