Bladen Matthew Roggenkamp-McKeown, 17, of Silsbee passed away June 6, 2020. He was born September 24, 2002 in Beaumont, Texas to Kristy Michelle Roggenkamp and Thomas Wesson McKeown Jr.
Bladen was a true outdoorsman. His passions were hunting, fishing, camping, exploring, and he had wonderful survival skills. Bladen was also a collector of knives and guns and you couldn’t find him without his camo and boots on. His favorite places in the world to be was at the lake or the beach. Bladen had strong computer knowledge and was also a skilled gamer. Metal detecting was also an interest of his. He enjoyed traveling with his Papa in his Big truck to California and New Jersey. On that particular trip, they were snowed in, and Bladen wasn’t disappointed because he enjoyed the snow! He also liked watching The Walking Dead with his Nana. He showed great interest in photography, welding, computer graphics, and outdoor guiding. Bladen loved his family and his dog Luke. He also had a passion for donating to St. Jude’s children’s hospital. He was a loving, caring, and giving soul and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bladen is preceded in death by his mother, Kristy Michelle Roggenkamp-Adams.
He is survived by his Dad, Thomas Wesson McKeown Jr. and wife Katherine; sisters, Olivia Grace and Addyson Brooke McKeown; brothers, Brodie Adams, Ryder James Blythe, and Hunter Grant Dinger; grandparents, Thomas Wesson McKeown Sr. and Janice Tanton McKeown; Nana and Papa Belinda and David Roggenkamp; aunt and uncle, KaTina and James Carlton; uncle and aunt, D.J and Tara Roggenkamp; uncle, Jeremy Roggenkamp and family; cousins, Justin and Amber Dailey, Madison, Kaydence, and Oaklyn Dailey, and Dillan Metreyeon; numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins; and his loving dog and companion, Luke McKeown.
A memorial service celebrating Bladen’s life will be held at Farmer Funeral Home Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 10AM. After the service at Farmer’s, a committal service will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Beaumont.
