Bobby Ray Yount

Bobby Ray Yount, 79, of Silsbee passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023. He was born on February 2, 1944 in Silsbee to the late Hollis Ray Yount and Fay (Collins) Yount.

Bobby was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the VFW Post 1514 in Village Mills. He enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, hunting, refurbishing old cars, and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Bobby will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, 3 months, and 21 days, Dorothy (Whitmire) Yount; children, Robert Yount and wife Carol of Kountze, Becky Parsons of Lumberton; grandchildren, Karissa Ellis and husband Tucker, Colton Yount and wife Ashley, Carlton Tucker and wife Loretta, Tori Yount, Ashlyn Tucker; great grandchildren, Emma, Jase, Isaiah, Reece; two sisters, Linda Davis of California, Doris Davies and husband Joe of California; and numerous other family members and friends.
