Carl "Butch" Simmons

Carl “Butch” Thomas Simmons, 80, of Buna, passed away on June 30, 2026. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday, June 3, 2026, at Antioch Cemetery in Buna with Pastor Shawn Stanley officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2026, from 5:00 – 6:00 PM at Farmer Funeral Home.

Carl was born on March 5, 1946, in Washington, DC, to Walter and Anna Simmons. He served in the United States Air Force. Carl married his wife, Euvon, on October 6, 1979, and together they have celebrated 47 years of marriage. Carl worked as a volunteer firefighter in Newkirk, Oklahoma, and later served at Walmart as a stockman for over 20 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, and playing computer games in his spare time.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Perry Allen Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Euvon Simmons of Buna; his son, Walter Simmons, and wife Kimberly; his daughter, Tonia Stinson, and husband James; his daughter-in-law, Heather Smith; one brother, Walter Frank Simmons, and his wife, Jodie; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his uncle, Bob Simmons; and one niece and nephew, Amanda Acton and Samuel Simmons.
