Charles Dewain (Sr.) Dear

Charles Dewain Dear Sr., 80, of Silsbee passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021. He was born December 12, 1940 in Silsbee, Texas to the late Benjamin Dear and Sally Poland Dear.

Charles, also known as “Pops” or “Pawpaw” to his grandchildren, was an outdoors loving man that enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was roughneck in the oilfield industry for most of his life. Charles married his wife Emma Kruzan Dear August 28, 1979 and they had over 40 years together. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Sue Lakey, Winneth “Winky” Dear, Patricia Ard, Harold Dear, and Robert Dear.

He is survived by his loving wife, Emma Dear; his children, Charles Dewain Dear Jr., Pam Sellers, Shana Eason and husband Buck, Marsha Dear; step-daughter, Barbara Sheard; brother, Billy Dear; grandchildren, Paige, Devin, Montana, Destiny, Kacey, Colton, Dylan, Savannah, Amie, Tamera, Tre, Ashley, and Tanner; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5-7PM Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Home.

Cremation services will be held under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.
