Charles Hollyfield Obituary

Charles Edward Hollyfield passed away peacefully Monday December 2nd 2024 in Beaumont TX with his wife by his side holding his hand . He was born December 22nd, 1950 to the late Lester and Julia Hollyfield in Kountze TX.

Charley retired from Louis Dreyfus as Head Electrician. Never let it be said that he could not keep a piece of equipment running. Every venture Charley went into was with his whole heart and soul,  whether it was cattle, sheep, goats, pigs or chickens, or his last venture of racing Thoroughbred Race Horses. He loved to feel the Thunder as they came around the final curve heading for the finish line especially if it was one of his. He also loved Hunting with his Dad and brothers and Fishing whether it was up on Sam Rayburn trying to catch that 5lb Bass, or  Catfishing on the Neches River or Fly Fishing across Colorado, Arkansas and Oklahoma searching for and  landing a German Brown or a Rainbow.. He loved being outside observing nature whether it was ryegrass, lespedeza,  or clover just coming up  or watching a doe with her baby or just riding around on his tractor's brush hogging to always"make it better". He loved animals his entire life and they loved him back. He stood by his family Motto of "Provide for All".  He loved both Thanksgiving and Christmas when he could get all of his family together to reminisce about their childhood and cook and eat the traditional foods he grew up eating on those Holidays. One can always visualize the stories that were told of 6 boys growing up.

You will always be loved and missed by all that you touched in life.
