Charles “Doug” Douglas Chesser, 55, of Vidor passed away Sunday, March 21,2021. He was born August 11, 1965 in Conroe, Texas to the late Melvin and Joan Chesser.

Doug was an API 653 Inspector and was in the petrochemical industry for many years. He was an outgoing people person who never met a stranger. He loved to travel and spend time with the grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Blake Allen.

Doug is survived by his wife, Sheri Chesser of Vidor; children, Ashley Neeb and husband Blake of Vidor, Justin Allen and wife Ramelie of Cebu, Philippines; grandchildren, Addyson Neeb, Kynlee Neeb, Clara Allen; sister, Lori Chesser and partner Mark Burge of Vidor, brother, Jeff Scarborough and wife Kris of Russell, Kansas; stepbrothers, David Hight of Vidor, Jimmy Hight and wife Sharon of Vidor; brother-in-law, Gerry Walton and wife Amy of Fred; stepmother, Mary Fomby and husband Joe of Vidor; and numerous necies, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1PM Friday, March 26, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will be held Thursday Evening March 25, 2021 from 5-7PM at the Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Campbell, Lynn Meyer, Gerry Walton, BJ Bass, Chris Castilaw, and Scooter Burkett.

Josh Cox and David Hight will be honorary pallbearers.
