Claudell Brasher Obituary

Claudell Faye Brasher, 75, of Silsbee, Texas passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 in Houston, Texas of complications from surgery. Her son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Amanda, were with her when she peacefully passed.

Claudell was born March 31, 1946 in Eunice, Louisiana to Lorraine (Dillard) and Clyde Vanderhider. Her early years were spent in Corpus Christi, Texas and then Chula Vista, California where she graduated from Castle Park High School in 1964. She moved to Texas in the 1970s with first husband, David “Skip” Rossen to be closer to and spend more time with her older siblings.

Claudell mostly lived in Silsbee with her loving husband of 40 years, Wayne and their many animals. Claudell was loved by the Silsbee community. Whether she saw you on the golf course at Silsbee Country Club or greeted you at Silsbee State Bank or Cravens Insurance Agency, you knew you would always be met with a larger-than-life smile and a witty comment. Claudell loved people and animals. She never met a dog or cat that she would not welcome into her home. If you ever told Claudell “I love you” then you would receive her patented affectionate response of “I love you more”.

Claudell is survived by son Michael Rossen and wife Amanda of Kingwood, Texas; son Tom Arnold and wife Brenda of Coronado, California; son Ben Wayne Brasher Jr. and wife Elvira of Jasper, Texas; daughter Jill Sherman and husband Matt of Beaumont, Texas; son in law Kevin Garner of Silsbee, Texas; grandchildren Kelsie Moulder and her significant other Alec; Emily Blakely and husband Andrew; Evan Arnold; Aaron Daniel and wife CeCe; Anna Rossen; Karina Brasher; Tatum Rossen; Seth Rossen; A.J.
