Clifton "Fuzzy" Guertin Jr. Obituary

To honor his life and memory, funeral services for Clifton Francis "Fuzzy" Guertin, Jr., 66, of Dickinson, Tx, will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee, TX with interment following in Cunningham Cemetery. A visitation will be from 1 pm until time of service Tuesday.

Mr. Guertin passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at HCA Houston Clear Lake Hospital.  A native of Williamsburg, VA, Fuzzy got to Texas as soon as he could.

Mr. Guertin is preceded in death by his beloved mother Nancy Ann Hickman Guertin, brother David Allen Guertin and grandparents, Frank and Cordie Williams.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend Patricia Faltesek, his sisters, Anita Estelle Hutchinson and husband Peter and Dawn Rene Soper, niece Lindsey Brooke Soper and nephew Mathew Logan Soper.  Many, many friends also survive him.

Clifton got the nickname 'Fuzzy" when he was young and it stuck with him throughout his life.  He never met a stranger and could sit and talk for hours.  Fuzzy was a career heavy equipment operator who traveled around the world making difficult heavy lifts.  He was a workaholic and while working one night, had a major stroke that ended his career.  He missed being an operator until the day he died.  Fuzzy had a love for motorcycles, big trucks and fast cars.  He and Patricia liked to travel and enjoyed many trips on their motorcycles, on cruises and by air.  They made memories Patricia will cherish forever.  His favorite vacation destination was Aruba.  They met people from all over the world that remain friends today.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions to honor Fuzzy's memory may be made to either Northside Baptist Church, Music Ministry, 2801 Logan St., Texas City, TX 77590 or Shrine Transportation Corps, C/O El Mina Shriners, 1616 23rd St., Galveston TX 77550.

LET ME GO

When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me,

I want no rites in a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little, but not for long, and not with your head bowed low,

Remember the love that we once shared, miss me, but let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take and each must go alone,

It's all part of the master plan, a step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know.

Laugh at all the things we used to do, Miss me, but let me go.
