Curtis Lee Colvin was born in Jefferson County Texas on October 17, 1961 to Peggy Colvin and raised by his Mom and Stepdad Nelson Boudreaux who both preceded him in death. Curtis was the oldest child in his family. He has two sisters: Melissa Malmberg and Cynthia Wood, both of Vidor, Texas. His brother Michael Turner, also of Vidor, preceded him in death.
Curtis graduated from Bridge City High School in 1981. He went to work on various jobs such as truck driving and being an entrepreneur with a pressure washing business. He loved truck driving but decided to join the Navy in 1981 and served for a year. He loved serving people, so he decided to become a nurse and graduated with his LVN in 1995. Eventually his love of truck driving led him back to school at Lamar Institute of Technology Professional Driving Academy and he received his certification in trucking in 2019. His life ended July 19, 2021 in a trucking accident doing what he loved and working for a company that he loved. He worked for LSJ Trucking out of Beaumont, Texas.
Curtis loved Chinese food more than trucking and he was talented in crafting leather and making candles. He also loved his savior, Jesus Christ. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He always tried to find the good in his family, friends, and co-workers.
