Daniel Herron passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the age of 83.. He was born on August 15, 1941 to Mike and Zelia Herron and spent his younger years in Kirbyville and Buna before moving to Silsbee.
Being the youngest of eight children, Daniel developed a work ethic at an early age, and it remained with him his entire life. Dan tried his hand at various types of jobs before opening Dan's Restaurant in Silsbee which later became Dan's Drive In Grocery. Later he built, owned, and operated Silsbee Quick Lube for 41 years until health issues forced him into retirement. Daniel will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather (Pa), and father-in-law. He loved the good times he shared with his family.
Daniel was preceded in death by both parents, sisters; Helen Morgan, Mildred (Millie) Gunter, Katie Be (Kitty) Woosley; brothers, Mike (Buddy) Herron, Jimmy Herron and Bryant Herron.
Daniel is survived by his wife Sharon with whom he would have celebrated 58 years of marriage on February 24, his daughter, Dan Anne Burk and her husband Charles of Silsbee, grand-daughter, Kenley Burk also of Silsbee. He is also survived by his brother Fred (Bob) Herron and wife Janice of Kirbyville, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sheila and Tom Eveland of Silsbee, sister-in-law Paula Simmons of Silsbee as well as many nieces and nephews.
