Darlene "Nana" Jordan Obituary

Darlene “Nana” Jordan, 76, of Vidor, passed from this life on Friday, July 4, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Beaumont on Sunday, June 26, 1949, to Crockett and Nelda Dean (Anderson) Strother.

Darlene was primarily a homemaker but also spent several years working at O’Reilly auto parts and about 5 years at Lifeshare blood center where she made many new friends due to her sparkling personality. She will be remembered for her love of bowling, the holidays with her beautiful decoration displays, and family get togethers. She was well known for her love of entertaining and hosting, and always enjoyed, and made the most of life. She enjoyed being in the sunshine and no matter how hot it was you could almost always find her outside playing music with her tanning oil: soaking up the rays. She was also a huge Elvis Presley fan, she passed that love of his music on to some of her children. She added a little spice and sass to every situation.  She will always remain a loving wife, mother, sister, and Nana.

Survivors include her daughters, Sherry Burford, and her husband, Dale; Christy Conner, and her husband, Steve; son, David Jordan, and his wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Braiden, Shelby, and her husband, Robert, Lenzi, Brenden, and his wife, McKenzie, Jordan, and her husband, Cole, David “Baby Dave”, Branden and his wife Laiken, Jaxson, Bryllen, and Jonathan; great grandchildren include, KK, Addie,  K-Man, Nat Nat, Grant, Brantley, Blakely, Rance and Hensley; brothers, Billy Strother, Donald Strother, and his wife, Yvonne, Kenneth Strother, and his wife, Dee, Michael Strother, and his wife, Amy, and Richard Strother; sister, Sharon Hensley, and her husband, Allen; as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Walter Jordan; and her parents.
