Dennie Ray "Bill" Burnett

Dennie Ray “Bill” Burnett, 86, of Evadale passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at his home. Bill was born on Thursday, April 13, 1939, to John Thomas Burnett and Texana Gray Burnett.

Few people knew his name was Dennie Ray, he was always known as Bill. He loved to hunt and fish and always had his dogs that were like his kids.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Vada, who was the love of his life, his daughter Lisa Marie Pender, his parents and all his siblings.

He is survived by his daughter Lessie Nance (David), and his son Chance Burnett (Candy), his grandchildren Dustin Nance (Jesse), Cody Nance (Amanda), Casey Lisenby (Patrick), Chance Hunter Burnett, Brooke Blackwell (Caleb), Kelli Pender (Danal). Ten great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. His “adopted” children that he considered his own, Mary Cobb (Mickey), Johnnie Mae Foret, and Jeff Billot.
