Don Pyburn Sr.

Don Pyburn, Sr., 89, of Silsbee, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. He was born on Thursday, July 2, 1936, in Brownfield, Texas, to S.T. and Fannie Irene (Purcell) Pyburn.

Don had a long and productive career as an executive in the construction field prior to founding Pro-Rental in Silsbee, Tx. He and his wife Wanda, as the owner/operators, together built the company into a very successful business.  Don was happiest when he was working, whether on a job or at home in his shop. He had a love for antique trucks, tractors and various items regularly adding to his ever growing collection. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include, his wife of 45 years, Wanda Pyburn; sons, Don Pyburn Jr. and wife Connie; son-in-law Martin Knott; Stanley Pyburn and wife Judith; Mike Surface and wife Kay; Kenneth Surface and wife Sharilyn; Keith Surface and wife Karen; Jeff Surface and wife Laura; His daughter, Ronda Starnes and husband Lee; Grandchildren, Mandy, Misty, Ryan, Lauren, Lindsey, Jeremiah, Dillon, Brianna, Brandon, Bethany, Matt, Megan, Katelynn, Kendalyn, Chris, Caleb, Tyler, Alex, Josh, Jason, Bryan, and Brittney; also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Robin Surface Knott, and great-grandson Joseph Foster Pyburn.
