Donald Wellington Longenberger, 87, of Silsbee passed away Wednesday June 28, 2023. He was born on
November 15, 1935 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Donald Thomas Longenberger and Josephine
Gurley.
Donald lived in Silsbee for over fifty years, he married the love of his life Margaret January 27, 1973 at
the United Methodist Church of Silsbee. He was a pharmacist for over forty-five years and was especially
proud of his time at Modern Pharmacy. Outside of his career he was involved with the Christian Care
Center, Rutgers Alumni Association, and was a faithful member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Silsbee.
He enjoyed stamp collecting, reading, and traveling the world. Don will be deeply missed by all who
knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Biaza Longenberger; parents; brothers, David and Carl
Longenberger.
He is survived by his six daughters, Rebecca Montana and husband steve, Marlene Lacy, Melissa Hays
and husband Gary, Donna Longenberger and fiancé Stephen Rideout, Karyn Sanderson, Michelle Farr;
one son Michael Longenberger; grandchildren, Stephen Montana, Leah Tardy and husband Skylar, Tyson
Lacy, Scott Lacy, Noah Hays, Hannah Dickens and husband Hunter, Christian Colletti and wife Angie, Kelli
Williams, Nicole Steelman, Michael Ashworth, Ashley Longenberger, Shanna Colletti and Tara Young; numerous great grandchildren; two
nieces; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1305 Roosevelt
Dr. in Silsbee. The family invites anyone to viewing and visitation at Farmer Funeral Home Sunday, July
2nd 5:00-7:00 p.m. at 415 N. 4th St. in Silsbee.
