Donna "Deda" Lee (Smedley) Middlebrook

Donna “Deda” Smedley Middlebrook, 65, of Kountze, died Thursday, July 3, 2025. She was born on Monday, April 25, 1960, in Port Arthur, to Roger and Margaret Anne (Bryan) Smedley.

Donna was Valedictorian of her graduating class, Kountze High School Class of 1978. She went on to attend Lamar University. She spent many years as a floral designer at the family business, Flowers By Smedley, in Silsbee, and enjoyed working for Holiday Magic, where she decorated and installed lights during the holidays. She enjoyed many other art projects reflecting her talent for creativity. Donna will be remembered for her love of helping others, and will forever remain a loving mother, daughter, and Deda.

Survivors include her mother, Margaret Smedley; daughter, Leslie Haralson, and her husband, Ricky; son, Brady Middlebrook; grandchildren, Justin Haralson, Johnathan Haralson, and his wife, Raven, Courtney Haralson, and Landry Middlebrook; great granddaughters, Lana Rae Haralson, and Teagan Hall; sister, Julie Anderson; nephews, Jason, and Christopher Anderson; as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Roger Smedley.
