Doris June (Rumby) Hartman

Doris June Hartman, 100, lifelong resident of Silsbee, Texas passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022. She was born on June 1, 1922 in DeRidder, Louisiana to the late Pete and Lula Rumby.

Doris enjoyed many hobbies such as camping, fishing, and playing cards and dominos with friends. Cooking was one thing she loved most of all and she enjoyed get togethers with family and friends. She married her husband, Benjamin Monroe Hartman and they were married for 65 years until the time of his death in 2004. Together they had five children. Her family loved to just be around her and enjoy her company and excellent cooking. She and her late husband were proud Silsbee Tiger fans and attended countless ball games over the years. Doris loved people and could always be counted on to greet you with open arms and a smile. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benjamin Monroe Hartman; children, June Bellenger and Steve Hartman; grandchildren, Jill Hartman, Bryan Cunningham, Ricky Cunningham, Ben Turk; and numerous siblings.

Doris is survived by her children, Linda Hartman Griffin, Tommy Hartman, Marlon Hartman and wife Kimberly; sister, Bonnie Salyer; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
