Dorothy (Streett) McCaleb

Dorothy Irene (Streett) McCaleb, 86, of Silsbee, Texas, passed from this life on Friday, April 03, 2026. She was born Tuesday, July 04, 1939, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dorothy participated in community activities such as Red Hat Society, Woman’s Club, and Bunco, she enjoyed being with her family and friends. She retired from 20 years of teaching and enjoyed her retirement while drinking coffee on the porch and looking at her beautiful flowers. Dorothy was a firecracker for sure since she was born on Independence Day and always up for a trip to the casino and eating crab legs.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy McCaleb; son, Michael McCaleb, and his wife Carmen; grandchildren Christopher McCaleb and his wife Natalie, Chad Dobbins and his wife Sarah, April Dobbins, and her finance’ Josh; great-grandchildren, Braxton Jones, Hayden McCaleb, Logan McCaleb, Macayla Dobbins, Kenodie Dobbins, and Molly Dobbins; sisters, Mary Seales and her husband Tommy, Sandra Streett; nieces, nephews, many friends, and other loved ones.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter (Jack) Townsend Streett and Margaret Guest Streett; her loving husband Charlie McCaleb, of 38 years; brother James Townsend Streett.
