Dorothy Riley

Dorothy Jean Riley, 89, of Kountze passed away Thursday October 7, 2021. She was born on May 17, 1932 in Kountze to the late Jesse and Gladys Lowe.

 Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, gardening, playing pranks on everyone, and drinking coffee with her friends. She was a retired hairdresser.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin Riley; and sisters, Hatti Merle Presley and Lou Lou Proctor.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Tommy Riley and wife Renda of Kountze, Danny Riley of Kountze; sister, Alice Brown of Clearlake; grandchildren, TW Riley and wife Alissa of Warren, Stephanie Scalisi and husband Lonnie of Palmer, Alaska, Wendy Smith and husband Dave of Kountze; Crystal Smith and husband Des of Kountze; seventeen great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10AM Monday, October 11, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
