Dorothy “Dot” Marie Pate Frazier, 93, of Silsbee, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025 in Silsbee, Texas.
She was born in Bon Weir, Texas on Monday, November 2, 1931 to Allen and Sadie (Moore) Pate. She lived in Honey Island, Texas, with the last 78 years in Silsbee, Texas. Dorothy was married 69 years to her husband, Jr. She was most proud of her family and was a loving mother and Nanaw, devoting her time to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a hardworking homemaker who loved canning all the vegetables Jr. grew in their garden, fishing and hunting with him, cooking, sewing, quilting, card games, and making memories with all her family and friends. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and was well known for her peach cobbler. She loved her Spanish Trail Assisted Living family and enjoyed her daily walks and playing dominoes or cards with them.
Survivors include her son, Charles Ray Frazier and his wife, Linda; grandchildren, Eddie Castilaw and his wife, Angel, Todd Castilaw and his wife, Sarah, Erica Tackett and her husband, Jake, and Alan Frazier and his wife, Abbi; also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren; step-sister, Mary Alice Duce; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis Frazier Jr.; daughter, Helen Castilaw; infant son, Robert Earl Frazier; son-in-law, Jerry Castilaw; sisters, LouDell Bolding, Aline Yawn, and Iva Lee Holmes; and brother, J.E. Pate.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are; Eddie Castilaw, Todd Castilaw, Alan Frazier, Jake Tackett, Caleb Castilaw, and Caden Castilaw.
Dorothy’s family would like to express their gratitude to all the employees of Spanish Trail Assisted Living and Altus Hospice who went over and beyond to show their love and care for Mrs. Dot.
