Doyle Fred McKeown Jr.

Doyle Fred, McKeown Jr., 75, of Silsbee passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022. He was born on November 26, 1946 in Giddings, Texas to the late Doyle F. McKeown Sr. and Lucille Jaehne-McKeown.

Doyle was a well-known mechanic in Silsbee until 1978. He always wanted so much to go back to work and open his shop again one day. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Silsbee. When Doyle became unable to go to church, he would watch it on TV every Sunday morning. One day when Doyle was in poor health, he had awoken from a coma and told his daughter that he saw his mother watching soap operas on TV. Every day since then, he watched them like clockwork. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fam and watched them every chance he could. Doyle was in pain for many years, but we find comfort in the fact that he is no longer in any pain and is now free to run and play in heaven alongside his parents and two of his daughters. He will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and two daughters, Patricia D. Shows-McKeown and Rachel G. Flanagan.

Doyle leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Crystal Marcial and husband Edwin, Norma McKeown, Carrie Coplen and husband William Andy; brothers, Thomas McKeown and wife Janice, Jess McKeown and wife Monica; eighteen grandkids; sixteen great grandkids; and numerous other family members and friends.
