Effie Mae (Harris) Moss

Effie Mae Moss, 82, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021. She was born February 4, 1939 in Buna, Texas to the late Orbalee Harris and Dollie Day Harris.

Effie was the oldest of eight siblings which made her a natural caretaker. She enjoyed cooking and working in her flower beds. Effie was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Buna.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband David Moss; and one brother, James Ray Harris.

Effie is survived by her sisters, Betty Lou Emenheiser, Wanda Cates and husband Arnold, Linda McCroskey and husband Roy; brothers, Huey Harris, Roger Harris, RV Harris and wife Pat; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Tuesday April 27, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will be held Monday evening April 26, 2021 from 5-7PM.

Serving as pallbearers will be Derry King, Tracy Havens, Calvin Moss, Gene Moss, Vance Moss, and Leslie Moss.
