Evangeline Joy "Evie" Williams

Evangeline Joy "Evie" Williams was born February 5, 1966 in Houston to Herbert Adair Williams Jr. and Charlotte Jones Williams. Evie passed away at her home in Kountze of natural causes on March 1, 2020.

Evie was employed at Exxpress Mart #14 in Lumberton for the last 8 years. Previous to that Evie was in management with Domino's Pizza for about 20 years in various locations.  She graduated from Lumberton High School in 1984.  

Evie is preceded in death by her grandmother, Cleone Selman Williams Carter; her father, Herbert Adair Williams Jr.; and her husband, Delbert "Dale" Lange.

Evie is survived by her Fur Baby "DJ" (Dale Junior); grandmother, Imogene Jones of Lumberton; mother, Charlotte Williams of Houston; sisters, Charlene Williams of Houston and Sammie Estrada Marth of Klein; brother, Charles Williams of Lumberton; nephews, Chase Estrada and Thomas Marth of Klein and Colby Berg of Connecticut; her sister-in-law of 25 years, Karen Hanna of West Columbia; her niece, Jacquie and husband, Shep Clark; her nephew, Will Hanna of Sweeney; Kage and Beth Shotts of Sweeney; Aryn Shotts of Austin; Larissa and George Hanna of Llano; in addition to numerous other family members and friends in Texas and Alabama. 

The family wants to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Exxpress Mart for their care and concern for Evie and to Angella Goings and the Humane Society of Southeast Texas for rescuing DJ and keeping him safe.

Services will be on Tuesday March 10, 2020 at 2:00 PM located at Farmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service on Tuesday.
