Frances “Fran” Kaye Gallion, 83, of Village Mills passed away Tuesday June 23, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Fran was born Saturday November 14, 1942, in Port Arthur, Tx to Emery Latiolais and Margery Tilley.
She was happily married to Paul Gallion, Jr for 53 wonderful years, during which they created a beautiful family and many fond memories.
Fran and Paul were members of Happy Valley church in Kountze, Tx. She had a passion for spreading God’s word and served as a children’s minister for many years.
She had a heart for children and found joy, loving not only her children and grandchildren, but children with special needs as well. In her personal time, Fran enjoyed maintaining her beautiful flower garden, watching the hummingbirds, and filling her home with as many owl collectables as possible. She centered her life around family, organizing Thanksgiving was a labor of love she enjoyed. Fran will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lynda Darby. Survivors include, her husband, Paul Gallion, Jr.; children, Tracy Wilson and wife Rachel of Beaumont, Tx, Sheryl DeRouen and husband Kenneth of Conroe, Tx, Mark Wilson and wife Michelle of Gatesville, Tx; grandchildren Cara DeRouen, Kimberly Wilson, Mark Wilson, II, Kevin Wilson, Stephen DeRouen, Bethany Taylor, Eric Wilson; great grandchildren Corbin “Cash” Lee, Marilly DeRouen, Alex Greer, Daniel Greer, Ellis Taylor, Reece Taylor, Kayley Wilson, Callan Taylor; her sister, Phyllis Armstrong and a host of other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Happy Valley Church, 3435 Highway 418 West, Kountze, Texas.
