Fredrick Louis “Butch” Gallier Jr., 78, of Lumberton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, the 12th of April 2026, surrounded by love. He was born to the late Fredrick and Mildred Gallier in Huntsville, Tx. Butch was a long-standing member of One City Church in Beaumont, TX, where he and his wife, Betty, would keep the faith. An avid outdoorsman, he spent his days hunting deer, but fishing held his heart. Butch made many fond memories out on a boat in the middle of the lake.
Butch was a member of the Pipefitters Local Union 211-Zone 195 and, after many years in the trade, found joy in mentoring and teaching the next generation. In addition to his work, he became an ordained minister and had the honor of marrying his daughter and two grandsons. An intelligent and pragmatic man, he freely shared his knowledge and wisdom generously with those around him.
Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Betty White Gallier; his children, Kevin Gallier, Nicole Hutchison, and her husband, James; Kenneth and Aaron Crawford; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Linda Gagne, and her husband, Richard; his brother, Jerry Gallier; and a host of other family and friends. Butch will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
