Gary Anderson Sr. Obituary

Gary Lynn Anderson Sr., born November 28, 1948, in Beaumont, Texas, passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 76.

Gary was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a proud member of the 2nd Battalion, 11t Marines, where he served as a radio operator during the Vietnam War. Gary retired from Mobil Oil after many years of dedicated work and continued to serve his community in countless ways.

One of his greatest passions was coaching youth sports, where he touched the lives of many young athletes. He also enjoyed spending time shooting pool in his pool league, a hobby that brought him joy and camaraderie.

Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years, Vicky Anderson; his parents, Red and Fern Anderson; and his brothers, Jerry, Glen, and Buddy Anderson, as well as his sister, Shirley Peddy.

He is survived by his sister, Dayle Anderson and children: Teshauna Turk and her husband Mitch, Gary Anderson Jr., and Andy Anderson and his wife Sarah. He leaves behind his grandchildren: Natalie Wolcott and her husband Brandon, Bradley and Kadyn Anderson, Isabella and Ava Anderson, and Michael J. Redd.
