Gertie Mae Nichols, 88, of Silsbee passed away Wednesday October 29, 2025. She was born June 1, 1937, to the late Frank and Maysell Mashaw in Jasper, Texas.
Gertie attended Pinecrest Baptist church, she was known for keeping an immaculate yard, however, her favorite way to spend her time, was spending time with her grandchildren. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by both parents, brothers Jack Rogers and his wife Arnada, Lloyd Mashaw and his wife Ellen, sister Billie Jean Broom and her husband James, brothers-in-law Kenneth Marshall and Phillip Junto, son Pete Nichols, and grandson Justin Nichols.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her three children, Lynette Spears and her husband Jerry, Diane Nichols, and Will Nichols; grandchildren, Brandi Harrison and her husband Chevis, Matt Nichols and his wife Victoria, Danielle Nichols, Randy Fowler Jr., Frank Fowler, Sheena Fowler, Brandon Spears and his wife Le’Nee, and Hailey Fernandez and her husband Christian; great grandchildren, Sierra Harrison, Miguel Nichols, Rayna Nichols, Ethan Nichols, Elanna Nichols, Madison Nichols, Kenzie Fowler, Rylan Fowler, Charlee Fowler, Carson Spears, Piper Spears, Jemma Spears, Katelyn Fowler, Gabriella Fernandez, and Grayson Fernandez; sisters Sue Junto and Pauline Marshall; and a host of other family members and friends.
