Gladys Leona (Brown) Williams

Gladys Leona Brown Williams, 79, of Kountze, Texas, passed away on July 25, 2023 after a long-fought battle with cancer. Gladys was born on September 5, 1943. 

She was preceded in death by her father, WW Brown and wife, Bessie, and her mother, Grace Ola Karp. Also by her sisters, Mary Carmichael and Patsy LeBoeuf. 

She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Thomas Gaylon Williams; daughter, Donna Thomas and husband, Jay, daughter, Vivian Williams; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Shelton Brown and wife, Helen; sister, Lillie McCue and husband, John; sister, Nell Mueller; brother Frank Brown and wife Pat; numerous nieces, nephews, a host of friends, and her church family. 

The family would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to the staff at the Kountze Nursing Center for the love and care they gave to their mother.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kountze Church of Christ or the Kountze Nursing Center.

Cremation services will be held under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.
