Gracie Mae Johnston, 91, of Silsbee, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at her residence. She was born on Wednesday, October 4, 1933, in Silsbee, where she was a lifetime resident, to Jasper Clyde and Lola Mae (Smart) Hare.
Gracie was a homemaker who will be remembered for her love of cooking, flowers and plants, camping, and fishing, serving The Lord, and taking care of her family. She was a member of First Assembly of God, in Silsbee where she was a member of the Women’s Ministry. She will forever remain a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Burk and her husband, John, and Kathy Brock and her husband, Larry; sons, J. Gilbert Johnston, and Randy Johnston and his wife, Paula; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Robert Hare and his wife, Betty.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 64 years, J.D. Johnston; grandson, Nathan Johnston; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
