Helen Castilaw Obituary

Helen Faye Castilaw (73) of Silsbee passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior while surrounded by her family on September 7th, 2021. She was born to her parents, Curtis Jr. and Dorothy “Dot” Frazier on February 27, 1948 in Silsbee, Texas.

Helen loved children and knew the importance of education. She devoted many years teaching for Silsbee Independent School District. Helen would later dedicate 33 years at Mary Kay and would advance to become a Director of Sales. She felt blessed to enjoy the experience in its entirety along with the many friends gained who became more of a family over the years. In her later years, Helen found enjoyment working at The Neches Bell Antique Store and the memories made. Of all the titles held and achievements made, her most honored title and achievement was “Granny”. It was no secret to anyone that knew her, she adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Helen and her devoted husband, Jerry were long time members of Pinecrest Baptist Church and loved her church family

Helen is survived by her loving husband of 53 years and 10 months, Jerry Castilaw of Silsbee; her mother, Dorthy (Dot) Frazier of Silsbee; her son, Eddie Castilaw and wife, Angel of Silsbee; her son, Todd Castilaw and wife, Sarah of Silsbee; her grandsons, Caleb, Zachary, and Caden Castilaw of Silsbee; her granddaughters, Alexandra Wolfe and husband, Jeremy of Mansfield and Michaela Castilaw of Silsbee; her five great grandchildren, Kennedy, Averie, Greyson, Burkeley, & Juliette; her brother, Charles Frazier and wife, Linda of Jasper; additional family members include Cody, Lauren, Whitney, Hazeley & Jaycee; along with other loving family members and dear friends.
