Helen M. Dunaway, 98, of Silsbee, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Paradigm in The Pines, in Silsbee. She was born on Saturday, October 2, 1926, in Columbia, Mississippi, to Ernest and Beulah (Brooks) Turner.
Helen was a longtime member of Faith Assembly of God, in Lumberton and was a homemaker. She will be remembered for her excellent cooking and her love for others, especially her grandchildren. She will forever remain a loving wife, mother, and Maw Maw.
Survivors include her sons, Larry Dunaway, and his wife, Kathi and Keith Dunaway, and his wife, Melinda; daughter, Janice Plaunty, and her husband, Albert; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bob Dunaway; son, Bobby Dunaway; daughter, Patsy Whitmire; brothers, Charles and James Turner; and sisters, Ernestine Dequilla, Evelyn Boughman and Norma Turner.
