Henry R. McLean, 84, of Silsbee, passed away on April 15, 2026. He was born on December 15, 1941, to Billie and Gladys McLean.
Henry served in the United States Army for 20 years before he was honorably discharged. He married his wife, Melva Collier, and together they celebrated over 62 years of marriage. He worked for Smurfit Westrock Paper Mill as a computer engineer until his retirement. Henry has been a member of Willie Mae Community Baptist Church in Silsbee for several years.
Henry was an avid gardener, enjoyed spending time outdoors, and could always be found working on something that needed fixing. He was a "jack of all trades” and could repair just about anything. He enjoyed tinkering with his tractors and cars on his property. Anything that kept Henry outside was what kept him driven. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family and providing for them.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Pat McLean and Billie McLean; and two sisters, Margaret McLean and Alice McGallion.
Survivors include his wife, Melva McLean of the home; his two sons, Henry McLean II and Edouard McLean and his wife Sandy; two grandchildren, Sarah Blazo and husband Christopher and Raylon Marcontell and his wife Crystal; and five great-grandchildren, Arya, Lydia, Connor, Lauren, and Aubrey. Survivors also include a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.
