Herbert James Tanton, born February 22, 1948 in Evadale, TX to Herbert James Tanton Sr and Eula Mae Loftin Tanton, passed away March 14, 2021 in Jasper, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Henry Tanton and his sister Emma Jean Tanton. James is survived by his brothers, Bob, Robert, Louis and David Tanton, his sister Lillie Hutto and a host of friends. He was a retired butcher at the Jackson Meat Packing Company.
