Herman Hall, Jr., 86, of Silsbee, TX, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Mid Jefferson Extended Care Hospital in Beaumont, TX.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 5-7 pm. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 10 am. Both will be at Farmers Funeral Home Chapel in Silsbee, TX. Burial will follow at Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger, TX.
Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Sirmons and Pastor Kevin Lewis. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Courville, David (DG) Burrous, Rusty Eaves, Joey Garcia, Roman Cerda and Chris Nesbitt.
Herman was born October 3, 1937 to Herman Sr. And Azel (Crane) Hall in Newton, TX.
Herman was a retired mechanic and had also served in the US Airforce and Army for 20 years and 16 days. Herman enjoyed hunting squirrels, fishing, and watching western movies. He loved his family and enjoyed taking them to lunch after church on Sundays. He was known for giving out generous supplies of peppermints at church to children and anyone else who wanted them. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 63 years, Barbara Hall of Silsbee, TX. Son, Pastor Kevin Lewis and wife Cindy of Bixby, Oklahoma. Daughter Kimberly Burrous and husband David of Silsbee, TX. Sister Merline Johnson of Fred, TX. Brothers in law Jerry Sirmons and wife Lowetta of Texarkana. Kenneth Sirmons of Silsbee, TX. Sisters in law, Georgia Campbell and husband Nelson of Lumberton, TX. Betty Crane of Silsbee, TX. Five grandchildren, Christopher Courville, David (DG) Burrous, Blake Lewis, Kayla Eaves, and Hayley Burrous. Four Great grandchildren Lily, Holden, Caroline, and Conrad.
