James Albert Birdwell, 71, of Silsbee passed away peacefully at home, Sunday March 9, 2025. He was born Tuesday, July 21, 1953, to the late Herbert and Mabel Birdwell, in Silsbee, Texas.
James enjoyed spending his free time listening to music, reading, riding motorcycles, and woodworking. He spent many years working with the railroad, but after his retirement he was able to fulfill his dream job and became a truck driver. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his mother Mabel Athlea Buxton and her husband Marvin Foster; father Herbert Burton Birdwell; and nephew Jody Garrett.
Those left to cherish James’ memory include, his loving wife, Regina Birdwell; daughters, Jamie K. Deal and her husband Rodney, and Jennifer A. Morgan; sons, Jason K. Birdwell, Dustin P. Foreman and wife Catina, and Christopher Paine; grandchildren, Daryin McInnis and husband Taylor Long, Warren Birdwell, Steven Miller, Danielle Lott, Layla Miller-Morgan, Mason Deal, and Slayton Foreman; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Glinda Cole and husband Al and Melodie Sammons and husband Daniel; and a host of other family members and friends.
