James Hunter Coe

James Hunter Coe, 76, of Dayton, Texas passed away October 12, 2023. He was born September 16, 1947, in Beaumont Texas to the late Thomas Buchanan Coe Jr. and Amelia Fones.

James was a graduate from Kountze High school then he attended and graduated from Lamar University. James retired from the Oil and Gas industry after working many years as a CPA. When he wasn’t working, he spent his time doing yard work or on the computer. James will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  

He is preceded in death by both of his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jane Coe; his four sisters, Elaine Orlando, Janice Palermo, Mary Johnson, Susan Jennings and husband Duane; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
