James Edward Dean

James Edward Dean, 79, of Silsbee passed away Friday, September 24, 2021. He was born July 6, 1942 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Loy James Dean and Antonette Aquilina Dean.

James was a United States Army veteran   and served in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and barbecuing with his family. James was proud of his military background and absolutely loved talking about the time he spent in Vietnam. He was so loved and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Phyllis “Jackie” Dean; brother, Ronald Dean; three brother in laws; one sister in law; and several nieces and nephews.

James is survived by his niece, Heather Brown and husband Kevin; brother, Larry Dean; eight sister in laws; five brother in laws; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, October 1, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 12 PM until time of service.  A graveside service will be 10 AM Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Tulip Cemetery near Athens, LA.
