James J. Leggett, 89, of Silsbee passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019. He was born April 23, 1930 in Seattle, Washington to the late Marion and Helen King Leggett.
Mr. Leggett was a retired Master Sergeant in the US Air Force and served in Korea. After retiring from the military, he worked for RCA , GE and Mohawk Airlines.
He is survived by his loving wife, Henrietta Wehnes Leggett; his children, Mary Jo Sonnenberg of Powder Springs GA, Nancy Ann Morrow of Tucson AZ, James Richard Leggett of Houston, and John Marion Leggett of Beaumont; sisters, Phyllis Callahan of Sulphur LA, Margaret Ener of Conroe, and Martha Gilmore of Amarillo; brothers, Charles Leggett of Port Lavaca, and Ralph Leggett of El Paso; numerous grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in R.S Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee. A gathering of family and friends will be 5-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Paul Griffin, Bob Griffin, Jack Goetchius, Steve Ener, Eithan Sonnenberg and Eddie Leggett.
Services are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.
